MAS Epoxy Repair Kit saved the day (and trip) on the Noatak River, Alaska
Hello All:
I thought you might enjoy these photographs of your fast curing MAS Epoxy repair kit in action. I’ve been carrying one of your kits on my canoe trips for several years now and hoped I’d never have to use it. Well, this year I did. One week into our canoe trip on the Noatak River (Alaska) a seat on on of our folding canoes broke.
This was pretty serious as we had another 100 miles to go and there were some nice rapids ahead. We could not have repaired the seat without your kit. I used everything in it—the resin, fiberglass, sandpaper, mixing cups and ice cream sticks. It worked perfectly as you can see from the enclosed photos. The repair held up so well that my friend questioned whether or not he wanted to replace the seat after the trip. We sang your praises all the way down the river.
The beauty of your kit is that the resin sets up in only about five minutes and is rock hard in a few hours. I might add that it was a cold and bitter day, and raining, when we repaired this seat. The epoxy set up fine even in the cold, rainy weather. Thank you MAS for saving the day! This is an outstanding product; I highly recommend it.
